While in prison, in theory the concept is to rehabilitate/punish, but one would assume after reading this chapter that everything but rehabilitation actually occurs. Talk about the inmate social system, the "code" and the overall effectiveness of punishment, rehabilitation, and the impacts it all has on reentry.
