Clear talks about the impact, socially of the imprisoned as well as the impact of their families and communities left in the free world without them (keep this in mind).  Thinking abstractly from reading the material, explain, of any, the correlation/relationship between a person's decision to use a specific technique of neutralization (Sykes & Matza) and their ultimate process of prisonization, assuming s/he ends up in prison (Clemmer). While the topics vary in content, they are all very much related. 

In an average society (consider your own community) what does differential association mean to you? If you had to explain this concept to your grand mother, what would you say in an effort to help her understand why "somethings" happen the way they do? How does your perception, based on your understanding of the text, apply to criminal justice.
