For this assignment, choose a topic based on ONE of the texts we’ve read in class. You can write on Oslo, Aria da Capo; No Name in the Street; The Red Parts; American Sonnets; American Sonnets for my Past and Future Assassin; Women, Race, and Class; Are Prisons Obsolete; or Eileen. Choose ONE, and craft a literary argument based on a topic related to that text. A literary argument states a position that is debatable and your essay tries to change the reader’s mind about it.
