I have attached some additional instructions. But these are the questions that need to be answered. In keeping with this week’s chapters on the criminology of computer crime and hacking, the assignment is to choose a hacking incident and write a 6 page paper touching on the following:

1. Describe the hacking incident (i.e., where did it occur, when, how, why). Was the hacking successful? How sophisticated was the attack?
2. Who conducted the hacking (i.e., nation state, non-state actor, hacking group, organized criminal group)? What do we know about the hackers?
3. What do you think the motivations were for conducting the attack (i.e., financial, information gathering)?
4. Given the hackers motivations, how can companies best protect itself and deter future attacks?
