Prior to 1932, there wasn’t a specific duty of care principle outlined in the English Law. The court decided whether the party owed any duty to the plaintiff and every situation was analysed independently. Lord Atkin in the case Donoghue v Stevenson [1932] AC 562 tried to provide a general framework/principle that can help in determining the liability
