This discussion has three parts:

Part 1:

Part 2:

Introduce yourself.  You are provided a webpage in this discussion forum to tell us about you.  Be creative!  Start with a video introduction of around one minute.

1. Why you are taking this course, and how do you think this course will help you in your future career.

2. What are your overall college goals (degree/transfer, major, timeline, etc.)?

3. Something personal about you.  Later this week we are doing a Classmate Bingo activity.  Some of the categories are: Is taking more than one class this semester, Is majoring in something other than AJ, Is in or has served in the military, Has more than two siblings, Has (or is)  taken/taking more than one class with Dr. Fields, Has never taken an online class before, Has taken more than two online classes, Has earned ANY college degree or certificate, Has lived outside of the USA, Has lived outside of California, Lives more than 10 miles from El Camino, This is their first semester at El Camino, Attends or has attended more than one college, Owns a cat, Owns a dog, Has worked in public employment(for the government), Has a child, Is married,  Played a high school or college sport, Plays a musical instrument,  Has ridden a motorcycle,  Drives ha hybrid or electric vehicle,  Has been on a boat (any boat even if not in the water).  If you fit one or more of these categories, let us know.  

You can also add pictures (favorite pet, car, vacation spot, hobby, anything appropriate to share). Add #s or quotes if you'd like.  It is your webpage so do what you want with it.  

 

Part 3:

After listening to your peers posts, determine who has  something in common with you or does something you find interesting and comment on their post.  Let them know what you found so interesting or your common interests.  You are required to respond to THREE classmates.
