My favorite method of obtaining discounts is to use my smart phone. It doesn't matter where I am shopping, I can usually locate a deal within seconds. I use sites like RetailMeNot but sometimes I just type in a google question for discounts or coupons for the store I am in and I get tons of links to discounts
